Master of Computer Applications was established in the academic year 2004-05. Initially MCA had a separate department but was a part in the Dept of CSE & MCA, which is now has a separate Department. The Syllabus of MCA is more practical oriented suitable to the PG level. In the Department, there are 12 Faculty members, of which 1 Ph.D, 2 are M.Tech's and rest are MCA's.
The mission of the Department of MCA is to produce and disseminate theory, principals, practice and know-how of computing in the information age, for the critical analysis, design evaluation and improvement of computing systems in tune with the needs and demands of changing times. It is our objective to make students be able to pursue advanced studies in computer science, on a competitive universal basis.
The MCA Department has well-equipped laboratories having total of 300 systems all with P-IV processor of latest configurations and with all legal software required for the courses.
